Ancient + Brave

A true collagen supplement brand improving body, cognitive and physical performance with high-quality, hydrolysed peptides.

The challenge

Ancient + Brave were in need of support to bring paid performance marketing concepts to life. I worked closely with the Marketing team to create a series of thematic paid assets, ranging from static to video, the latter also involving content creation in a UGC/lifestyle setting.

The solution

I delivered assets which ranged from polished to UGC, to capture audience attention along different points of the conversion funnel. It was also important to make sure each individual asset embodied Ancient + Brave’s core values and visual aesthetics – over a short three day period, this set of briefs was an exercise in adaptability, speed and agility.

Conversion ask

One ask was to help improve paid ad performance: two main considerations I identified were to create a clearer hierarchy of information and introduce CTAs to motivate behaviour and push for conversion.

  • Lead with the outcome, not the product. With many of these creatives, instead of making the bottle the hero, it was clear that the benefit needed to stand out.

  • The importance of hierarchy: from scannable typography to CTAs with clear benefits, these were important considerations to help create motivation and desire to influence user behaviour.

  • UGC becomes effective when it feels real and tells true lifestyle stories and feels relatable rather than overly aspirational.
